Jazz Matters Jamming with John Dankworth

In February 2009 I was invited to appear at the Stables in Wavendon
(aka the Laine Dankworth Centre) as part of their Sunday morning
Jazz Matters programme, a series of talks and presentations on anything
to do with jazz. I offered a potted history of my own experiences of life playing
the trombone . . .

Here are some lovely pictures taken by Brian O'Neill of me with John Dankworth.
These images are special for me and all the more so, having recently heard of John's
death. I am very proud to have had the opportunity to work with him.

 

 

 

In October 2009 I was asked back to do a Live Jazz Matters and I managed to entice
Nikki Iles (piano) and Dave Whitford (bass) to join me.
